How the Mimibottles Reward Cards Work

Most children find water "boring"—it has no colour, no taste, and zero excitement. At Mimibottles, we’ve changed the game. We’ve transformed a daily chore into a high-energy monthly mission.

Why Hydration Matters

Proper hydration is the fuel for your child’s day. It supports school concentration, aids digestion, and keeps energy levels steady. By making water fun, we help them build a healthy habit that lasts a lifetime—without the daily "water battles."

How the 31-Day Challenge Works

1. Unlock the 31 Stars. The Mimibottle body is uniquely engraved with 31 Stars. Each star represents a day of the month. Every day your child hits their water goal, they "unlock" a star. It’s a tactile, visual way for them to track their own success.

2. Daily Reward Cards & Mini-Missions Once a star is unlocked, your child earns their Daily Praise Card.

  • The Message: They read a motivational note out loud to boost literacy and self-belief.

  • The Action: Many cards include a Mini-Mission—a quick celebration like a "Mimi High-Five" or a silly 10-second dance!

3. The Power of Anticipation: 12 Sealed Treat Cards. We’ve built a sense of mystery into the kit. Your box includes 12 Sealed Monthly Treat Cards. Because they are hidden, they create a month-long build-up of excitement. Only when the Mimi Box is full at the end of the month does your child peel one open to reveal a special reward, like a trip to the park or a "breakfast in bed" pass.

Inspired by Michelle

Mimibottles wasn’t created in a boardroom; it was born in our home. When my daughter, Michelle, was three, drinking water was a constant struggle. We didn't want to nag; we wanted to inspire. We engineered a solution that turned hydration into a reward, and the results were so life-changing that we knew we had to share this "magic" with other families.

❓ FAQ

What if the month has only 30 or 28 days?

Simply use the number of daily cards that match the days in that specific month. You can save the extra cards as "bonus" rewards for extra-busy days, or just hold onto them for the following month.

My child cannot read yet. Can we still do the challenge?

Absolutely. This is a perfect bonding opportunity. You can read the daily cards out loud to them, which actively helps with their listening skills and early word recognition.

Do we need to buy new cards every month?

The system is entirely reusable! Once the month is over and the treat card has been opened, simply empty the Mimi Collection Box, shuffle the 31 daily cards, and start the fun all over again.

Where should I keep the Mimi Collection Box?

We recommend picking a "Mimi Spot" in a central area of your home, like the kitchen counter or a bedside table. Having the box visible serves as a visual reminder of their progress and keeps the excitement building throughout the day.

Can I customise the rewards on the 12 Monthly Treat Cards?

The cards come with pre-selected experiences designed to foster bonding (like a trip to the park or breakfast in bed). However, the real "magic" is in the delivery! You can always add your own flair to the experience to make it uniquely special for your child’s interests.

What happens if we miss a day?

No worries! Life happens. We suggest simply picking up where you left off. The goal is to build a positive association with water, not to create a high-pressure environment. You can even use one of the "extra" cards from a 30-day month as a "Catch-Up Card" to get back on track.

Are the cards durable enough for kids?

Yes! The cards are designed to be handled daily. However, to keep them in top shape for the next month’s reset, we recommend that children place them directly into the Mimi Collection Box after reading them.

How do the cards help with "Reading Confidence" exactly?

By using short, repetitive, and highly positive language, children practice "sight words" and sentence structure in a low-stress environment. Because the card is a reward, they associate reading with success and celebration rather than a school task.

Can I use this for more than one child?

While one kit comes with one bottle and one set of cards, many parents find that siblings love to "help" each other reach their goals. However, for the best results in habit-building, we recommend that each child have their own bottle and card set to track their personal progress.

Are the cards waterproof?

While the bottle is built for water, the cards are made of premium cardstock. It’s best to keep the cards in their box or a dry area to ensure they last through many months of challenges!

🌟 Tip for Parents

To keep the motivation high, try using funny voices or cheer them up every time a card is dropped into the box. The more fun you have, the more they’ll want to drink!
